To Whom it May Concern:
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of the Township of Ida, Douglas County, Minnesota, will meet at the Ida Town Hall, located at 4700 County Road 6 NW, Garfield, Minnesota, on October 29, 2024, at 7:00 p.m., to consider the adoption of a proposed assessment for the improvement Of Sahara Lane pursuant to Minn. Stat. §429. The board may adopt the assessment at this meeting.
The following is the area proposed to be assessed: the properties abutting and non-abutting on such road Sahara Lane in Section 36 in Ida Township. The estimated cost of such improvement is $160,690.10. The proposed assessment roll is on file for public inspection at the town clerk’s office.
Written or oral objections will be considered at the meeting. No appeal may be taken as to the amount of an assessment unless a written objection signed by the affected property owner is filed with the town clerk prior to the assessment hearing or presented to the presiding officer at the hearing. The board may consider such an objection at an adjourned meeting upon such further notice to the affected property owner as it deems advisable.
An owner may appeal to district court pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 429.081 by serving notice of the appeal upon the board chair or town clerk within 30 days after the adoption of the assessment and filing appropriate notice with the district court within ten days after service upon the chair or clerk.
Those persons who desire to comment on the proposed improvement will be heard at this meeting.

Stat. §429. The board may adopt the assessment at this meeting.
The following is the area proposed to be assessed: the properties abutting and non-abutting on such road Laguna Lane in Section 36 in Ida Township. The estimated cost of such improvement is $57,927.55. The proposed assessment roll is on file for public inspection at the town clerk’s office.
Written or oral objections will be considered at the meeting. No appeal may be taken as to the amount of an assessment unless a written objection signed by the affected property owner is filed with the town clerk prior to the assessment hearing or presented to the presiding officer at the hearing. Important Information Regarding Property Assessments This may affect your 2025 property taxes. The Board of Appeal and Equalization for the Township of Ida in Douglas County, Minnesota, will meet on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at 1:00 PM at the Town Hall (Sec 33) by appointment only, for the assessment year 2024 (taxes payable 2025). The purpose of this meeting is to determine whether property in the jurisdiction has been properly valued and classified by the assessor.
If you believe the value or classification of your property is incorrect, please contact your Assessor's office at (320) 762-3884 to discuss your concerns. If you disagree with the valuation or classification after discussing it with your assessor, you may appear before the local board of appeal and equalization. The board will review your assessment and may make corrections as needed. You must appeal to the local board before appealing to the county board of appeal and equalization. All appeals are by appointment. Call the Douglas County Assessor's Office at (320) 762-3884 to schedule an appointment.
