Filing for Township Election
Notice is hereby given to qualified voters of Ida Township, Douglas County, Minnesota, that filing for town offices will be held for a two-week period beginning December 31, 2024, and closing on January 14, 2025, at 5:00 PM. The clerk’s office will be open on January 14, 2025, from 1:00-5:00 pm. Filing fee is $2.00
Affidavits of Candidacy shall be filed with the Town Clerk, Heather Miller, at the Ida Township Town Hall, 4700 County Road 6 NW Garfield, MN. Call 320-834-3377 to make an appointment.

Important Information Regarding Property Assessments This may affect your 2025 property taxes. The Board of Appeal and Equalization for the Township of Ida in Douglas County, Minnesota, will meet on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at 1:00 PM at the Town Hall (Sec 33) by appointment only, for the assessment year 2024 (taxes payable 2025). The purpose of this meeting is to determine whether property in the jurisdiction has been properly valued and classified by the assessor.
If you believe the value or classification of your property is incorrect, please contact your Assessor's office at (320) 762-3884 to discuss your concerns. If you disagree with the valuation or classification after discussing it with your assessor, you may appear before the local board of appeal and equalization. The board will review your assessment and may make corrections as needed. You must appeal to the local board before appealing to the county board of appeal and equalization. All appeals are by appointment. Call the Douglas County Assessor's Office at (320) 762-3884 to schedule an appointment.
