Ida Township - Notice of Township Election and Annual Meeting/Board of Canvass
Notice is hereby given to the qualified voters of Ida Township, County of Douglas, State of Minnesota, that the Annual Election of Town Board Officers and Annual Town Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at Ida Township Hall, County Road 6 NW, Garfield, MN. The polls will be open from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at which time the voters will elect:
One Supervisor, Seat A – Three Year Term: Candidate – write in
There are no questions to be voted on this year.
The annual meeting will be held following the election at 8:00 p.m. and conduct all necessary business prescribed by law. The annual meeting will be held in person.
The Town Board will meet as a Board of Canvass immediately following the close of the Annual Meeting to declare the official results of the election.
In case of inclement weather, the Election and Annual Meeting will be rescheduled for Tuesday, March 17, 2026.

Ida Township - Public Testing of Electronic Voting Equipment
In compliance with statute MS 206.83, there will be a Public Accuracy Test of the electronic voting equipment that will be used at the March 10, 2026, Township Election. The equipment to be tested is the OmniBallot Tablet ballot marking device.
The public accuracy test will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Ida Township Hall, 4700 County Road 6 NW, Garfield, MN.
The public is welcome to attend.

ABSENTEE VOTING FOR MARCH 10, 2026 TOWNSHIP ELECTION
ABSENTEE VOTING - The absentee voting period for the March 10, 2026, township election will be held from February 6, 2026, to March 9, 2026.
You can absentee vote by calling the Clerk at 320-834-3377 to set up a time, or you can absentee vote at the Ida Township Hall on March 7th from 10:00 AM - Noon.
