Ida Township

Ida Township lies in Douglas County, Minnesota. It was organized in 1870. The township includes approximately 23,040 acres. The 2000 federal census population of the township was 1,057, the April 2007 Minnesota State Demographer population is 1,146 with 479 estimated households. 

Lake Ida, Lake Charlie,  a portion of Lake Chippewa and a few other smaller lakes are in Ida Township as well as rural and farm areas. The City of Garfield is also located in Ida Township.

There are four churches: Lake Chippewa Convenant, Lake Ida Evangelical Lutheran, St. John's Lutheran and St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran.

There are six cemeterys: The Hjalmer Peterson Farm Burial site, Lake Charlie Cemetery, Lake Ida Cemetery, Oak Hill Cemetery, St. John's Lutheran Cemetery and St. Lukes Lutheran Cemetery.
